How Does Pixel Draws Work?

Pixel Draws appeals to both visitors and advertisers

On the one hand, we want to give site visitors great chances of winning multiple jackpots of $1,000 or more for FREE by simply clicking on ads to find out more about products they’re interested in. By giving away most of our ad revenues, for each of our 5 grids, our aim is to generate a total prize fund of $75,000 over 3 years (that’s $375,000 in total!). On the other hand, we aim to provide advertisers with a cost-effective, highly visible, well targeted and durable way of attracting traffic to their websites. We sell fewer pixels in larger blocks, on dedicated product grids, for a period of up to 3 years, giving them a much better platform for their ads.

How It Works For Players

Register and click ads for free

Just register for free by clicking the link on the homepage. Once you have registered, you can click on up to 10 ads per day, per pixel grid, to be entered into the free draws. That means you can click up to 50 ads per day in total to be entered into all the free draws on our grids. We’re NOT in the business of selling information and guarantee not to sell your details to anyone.

When and how the winner is selected

To start with, every time the prize fund on a grid grows by $1,000, we run a free draw and give $1,000 to one lucky winner. In the presence of a lawyer, we pick one of the ads at random on that grid. We then select one entry at random amongst all those that clicked that ad so far, and contact the lucky person within the following week. Pick your ads wisely! If we randomly select an ad that few people clicked, they have a higher chance of winning the cash prize.

Watch how the prize fund grows on each grid

For each grid, as the prize fund increases, we give away bigger cash prizes: first $1,000, then $2,000, then $5,000 over 3 years, until we have given away $75,000 per grid! All along the way, the free draws work in exactly the same way, so it is worthwhile coming back to the site to improve your chances of winning the bigger prizes. We keep every single entry you make

Not only will you discover new websites relating to your favourite products, you will also automatically be entered into every single free prize draw run on the grids you clicked for up to 3 years. You will still be entered into future free prize draws even if you don’t win at first or even stop clicking. If you’re really lucky, you can even win more than once and in more than one grid!

10% of the total prize fund is donated to charity

For each grid, up to $7,500 (or 10% of the total prize fund) will be donated to charity, that’s a total of $37,500. We support Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF) and BethanyKids.

It is entirely free to participate in our prize draws to win cash – there are no entry charges or hidden catches. We generate revenues purely from selling the ads.

Multiple chances of winning

We run 5 grids at the same time, each one allowing you to enter up to 35 free draws – that gives you up to 175 chances of winning cash prizes! Clicking ads on each grid for free gives you the chance of winning a cash amount of at least $1,000 every time the prize fund increases by a further $1,000. After we have given away 10 cash prizes of $1,000, the cash prize increases to $2,000. Once we have given away a further 20 cash prizes of $2,000, it increases to $5,000, until we have given away $75,000 for each grid. There is no limit to the number of times you can win cash prizes. Even if you have won already, you’re still eligible to win one of the later cash prizes!

We keep all your entries for 3 years

Every click you make is automatically entered into all subsequent free draws on that grid for up to 3 years. That means that even if you don’t win at first or stop clicking at some point, every click you have made so far will be kept and automatically entered into all the future free prize draws.

65% of ad revenues paid as cash prizes

For each grid, we commit to handing out over 65% of all the revenues we generate by selling pixel blocks to advertisers (and a further 10% of the total prize fund to a designated charity). At any time, you can see what the prize fund is for each grid so far.

Only quality and relevant ads

Our pixel grids have products themes. That means that only relevant ads appear on each grid, allowing you to discover more about your area of interest. You won’t find any offensive or inappropriate ads or links on our website!

No tiny ads

We only sell ads in blocks of 400 pixels and each grid is composed of up to 1,258 ads. That means you can clearly see what you are clicking.

How It Works For Advertisers

Pixel Draws is designed to bring advertisers and visitors together by giving individuals a real incentive to click your ads. Our advertising is cost-effective, starting from 25 cents per pixel for Standard blocks (there are also a limited number of Premium and FREE ad blocks). With a minimum block size of 400 pixels and a maximum of 1,258 blocks per product grid, all ads are highly visible.

Our product grids ensure that your ads are better targeted. Over time, we will also feature each grid in other relevant product websites, increasing traffic towards Pixel Draws and ultimately your ads. With each grid scheduled to be active for up to 3 years, Pixel Draws gives you the opportunity of buying cost-effective, targeted, and durable ad space.

Pick the grids that are relevant to your ad and your business

• Depending on your business, pick one or more product grid that relate to your products or what you want to advertise.
  
  
• If you have more than one product or activity, consider the price and number of pixel blocks left for sale on each grid, you could find it makes sense to spread your ads across different grids.
  
  
• All grids are the same size and price. Each is composed of a total of 503,200 pixels, broken down into Premium, Standard and Free blocks. The minimum purchase for each grid is a block of 400 pixels. Each grid comprises:
  
  

  	851 Standard blocks at $100, representing a total of 340,400 pixels
  	185 Premium blocks at $150, representing a total of 74,000 pixels
  	222 Free blocks, representing a total of 88,800 pixels

  
  
• You can choose to advertise on more than one grid at a time and have multiple ads on the same grid. Please note that a single ad cannot exceed 100 blocks.
  
  
• Whenever you’re ready, go to the grid in question and click on ‘Advertisers’ in the main menu.
  
  
• If you want to advertise on more than one grid, just go through the process described below for each grid.
  
  
• Please note that a new account will be set up for you every time you load up a new ad onto the site. Make sure you keep the account details for all your separate ads!

Reserve your pixel blocks and upload your ad image

• Now follow the instructions on screen. You will need to select your pixel blocks, upload your image, and enter your link details.
  
  
• Once you are done, you can either pay by Paypal, credit card, or bank transfer. Your pixels will remain reserved for you for 7 days to allow settlement of your payment.
  
  
• As soon as we have received the payment confirmation, we will activate your ad and you will receive an email with your account details for that specific ad.
  
  
• This is subject to moderation. As you know, we want to ensure that all ads are relevant to the product grids and are not offensive or inappropriate (the same goes for the website the ad links to). We will get in touch within 2-3 days to raise any issue we might have, and to agree any changes to your ad.
  
  
• Once your ad has been published, you can log into the website at any time to change the image or link. Just click on ‘Advertisers’ to enter your login details. If you do change your image or link, please bear in mind this remains subject to moderation and we will get in touch with you if the new image or link is inappropriate. We reserve the right to remove an ad if it is deemed offensive or no longer relevant to the product grid on which it is placed.
  
  
• Make sure you come back regularly to check how many clicks your ad is receiving by placing your mouse over the ad.

Why Advertise With Pixel Draws?

Cost-effective advertising

Our advertising space is cost-effective! Starting from as little as $100 for standard blocks of 400 pixels (25 cents per pixel), you can place an ad for up to 3 years. That’s equivalent to less than $3/month! We also sell premium blocks at $150 (37.5 cents per pixel) and offer free pixel blocks on all our grids. Unlike many other types of online advertising, visitors are actually motivated to click on your ad. You will increase traffic to your website at little cost.

Highly visible ads

The minimum size of each ad is a block of 400 pixels and we also sell premium blocks for better visibility. Grids are composed of only 1,258 blocks, so you are competing with fewer ads. That means every single ad is visible and even smaller ads won’t get lost. You can buy up to a maximum of 100 pixels blocks at a time for each ad and the biggest ad in each product grid is featured as that grid’s biggest advertiser.

Display your ad for up to 3 years

We commit to maintaining each grid on our website for a period of 3 years until 30th September 2010. We will run free prize draws until the total prize fund has reached $75,000 on each grid, or the end date has been reached. As we give players many chances of winning cash prizes which increase in value over time, this ensures site visitors come back to click your ads over time. We also allow you to change your ad image and destination page at any time, once your ad is published, so the look of your ad can evolve hand in hand with your business.

Really encourage players to visit your site

Unlike standard pixel advertising, at Pixel Draws players are actually encouraged to visit your site to win, and rewarded for returning to your site over time.

Themed pixel grids

We only allow quality and relevant ads on our website, and won’t allow offensive or inappropriate ads or links to be placed next to your ad. As an advertiser, that means your pixel ads are much better targeted to your audience. You can buy ads in multiple grids, as well as multiple ads within a chosen grid, to spread your reach.

All ads attract attention

We pick winners by first randomly selecting one ad per grid, then one entry amongst all the clicks for that ad so far. That means each ad, big and small, matters to our players. You can track how many people are clicking on your ad at any time on our website.

All our product grids will be promoted

Each grid is run independently and we will also feature the grids in relevant and quality sites, further broadening your reach. That means that your ad won’t just appear on pixel draws but also on other product websites, for the same price! We commit to limiting the number of grids to 5 until 30th September 2010 to ensure the impact of your ads is not diluted.
