Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ For Players
What is Pixel Draws?
Pixel Draws runs 100% free pixel-based draws funded by pixel ads.
Each pixel grid has a different theme for advertisers and offers
you the chance of winning part of a total prize fund of up to $75,000.
By clicking on ads, you get the chance of winning up to 35 separate
free draws over 3 years, worth between $1,000 and $5,000 each. On
the flip side, Pixel Draws offers advertisers a cheap way of increasing
visibility and traffic to their website.
Who is behind Pixel Draws?
Pixel Draws is run and managed by Full Circle Initiatives Ltd,
a UK-registered company. Unlike a number of pixel websites you may
have seen, we operate under English Law and focus on providing clear
and attractive free prize draws and competitions to our users. If
you need to get in touch, you can write to us at
or at The Gatehouse, 2 Devonhurst Place, Heathfield Terrace, London
W4 4JD. You can also reach us by telephone on +44 (0)797 628 7747
between 9am and 5pm (GMT) from Monday to Friday.
What cash prizes can I win on Pixel Draws?
We want to run as many free draws as possible and as quickly as
possible to give you up to 35 chances of winning a cash prize.
- Watch closely how the prize fund grows. Every time it increases
by $1,000, we will run a free draw to allow a user to win $1,000.
- Once the initial $10,000 have been won, every time the prize
fund increases by $2,000, we will give away $2,000.
- Once we have given away $50,000, every time the prize fund increases
by $5,000, we will give away $5,000. That means we will have given
away a total of $75,000 per grid!
How does it work?
All you have to do is register for free and start clicking ads
to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize. Read the How it
Works page for more details. Remember, each grid is run separately
so you can click each one individually, up to 10 clicks per grid,
per day.
Can I play on more than one grid?
Yes. We are running 5 separate grids at the same time to allow
you to participate in more free draws. Each grid is run in the same
way independently and gives you the opportunity of winning part
of a cash fund of up to $75,000!
What happens if I don’t win a free draw?
We will keep all your entries in each grid for a full 3 years,
giving you the opportunity of being the winner in up to 35 free
draws on each. That means that every entry you make counts even
if you stop playing along the way. There is no limit to the number
of free draws you can participate in so you if you’re very
lucky, there is nothing to stop you winning more than once!
How can you give away these jackpots?
The prize fund is generated from pixel advertising revenue. We
give away over 65% of the revenue collected in the form of the cash
prizes. On each grid, there are 1,036 blocks of 400 pixels (or a
total of 414,400 pixels) of ad space available. There are 851 Standard
pixel blocks for sale at $100 each and 185 pixel blocks for sale
at $150. The total prize fund of $75,000 equals over 65% of the
ad revenues once all the pixels are sold.
What if you don't sell all the pixels?
First of all, we don’t need to sell all the pixels to give
away cash prizes. That’s why we’ve set the amount of
cash given away regularly to start at $1,000. Every time we sell
enough ads to increase a prize fund by $1,000, one lucky winner
gets $1,000. That increases to $2,000 then $5,000 later on, but
it never means we have to sell all the pixels to be able to give
cash prizes to our winners. At the end of the game, regardless whether
or not all pixels are sold by the 31st September 2010, a free draw
will take place on each grid, one week after the close of the game.
The final cash prize at that point, will be whatever has been generated
for the prize fund since the last prize draw on that grid.
How long will each grid be active for?
Each grid is scheduled to be active for a period of up to 3 years,
until 30th September 2010. However, we will run prize draws as oon as
the prize fund reaches the next level, so if we manage to sell ad
space quickly, the game will end sooner.
How do you select the winner?
For each grid, one week after the prize fund has reached the right
size, we randomly select one of the ads. In the presence of a awyer,
a winner is then randomly selected amongst all the people who clicked
the selected ad on that grid so far.
What happens if I win?
If you are the winner, we will send you an email asking you to
get in touch with us to confirm how much you have won, confirm your
registration details and to arrange for payment to be made to you.
If we don’t hear from you within 7 days, we will try to contact
you again on the telephone number you provided, in case you didn’t
receive our email. Please note, if we haven’t managed to speak
to you after 3 weeks, we will have to select a new winner in your
place, so please call us as soon as you receive the winning email!
Winners names and a short quote will also be posted on our blog.
Do I have to pay to enter?
No, entry is FREE! There is absolutely no purchase necessary to
participate in any of the free draws run on Pixel Draws. You simply
have to register and click on ads to be in with a chance. The more
often you click and the more grids you participate in, the higher
your chances of winning.
Why should I play on YOUR pixel site?
Where do we start? We thought carefully about how to enhance your
chances of winning a cash prize on Prize Draws. We give you the
opportunity of participating in up to 35 free draws in each grid,
to win cash prizes of $1,000 to $5,000. You can play in all 5 product
grids to increase your chances of winning. As we keep every single
click for a full 3 years, you automatically enter all the free draws
on the grids you clicked and you can win more than once if you’re
lucky. That gives you the chance of participating in up to 175 free
draws to win cash prizes!
For advertisers, we have reduced the number of pixels for sale as
well as the price per pixel. On top of this, we have increased the
minimum size of ads to blocks of 400 pixels to ensure that all ads
are visible. As we are running 5 different grids at the same time,
each with a different theme, we think this will have more impact
for advertisers and increase the chances of filling the grids quickly.
That means that you have fewer ads to click in a given grid and
if we select an ad you clicked that fewer other people have clicked,
you increase you chances of winning. As our cash prizes are limited
to a maximum of $5,000 to allow us to run multiple free prize draws,
you don’t have to wait until the end of the game to find out
if you are the winner.
Also, we guarantee that over 65% of all the ad revenues collected
will always be returned in the form of jackpots (for those that
want to check the figures, the exact number is 66.46%). As such,
you benefit more as a user!

Is Pixel Draws legal and am I allowed to play?
Yes, Pixel Draws is legal in the UK, where Full Circle Initiatives
Ltd, the company that runs this website, is registered. If you are
from a country other than the UK, it is your responsibility to check
if it is lawful in your jurisdiction. Any individual can play as
long as they are 16 or over, and as long as it is not unlawful in
their jurisdiction. Companies, affiliates of Full Circle Initiatives
Ltd, and advertisers on Pixel Draws are not permitted to enter the
free draws.
Do bigger ads give me a better chance of winning?
No. Clicking a small ad gives you the same chance as clicking a
big ad. They both count as one entry each. When the free draw takes
place, one ad will be selected at random out of all of the ads,
irrespective of size. However, look out for ads that haven’t
been clicked very much as you can improve your chances of winning
if ever they are selected!
What if you don't sell all the pixels?
Regardless whether not all pixels are sold by the 30th September 2010,
a free draw will take place on each grid anyway, one week later
the close of the game. The jackpot at that time will be whatever
has been generated for the prize fund up to that point since the
last prize draw on that grid.
Are you giving any money to charity?
Yes. For each product grid, we will donate $7,500 (or 10% of the
total value reached by the prize fund after 3 years). We support
Medecins sans Frontieres
(MSF) and BethanyKids.
Find out more about our chosen charities.
Am I allowed to I have more than one account?
No. You are only allowed one account, and you can click up to 10
ads per day, per grid. You are not permitted to open multiple accounts,
and anyone who does will be disqualified from the free draws. If
you win, you'll have to provide proof of ID and proof of address
based on your registration details.
Will you sell my personal details?
Absolutely not. We’re not in the business of selling information
and respect your privacy. Please be assured that we will not sell
your personal details to anyone. Please read our Privacy Policy
for more information.
How do I make sure my clicks are registered?
Make sure you register and login before you start clicking. Each
time you click, make sure you check that the click count is up to
date for that day and that grid. If you are using Firefox, depending
on your settings you may need to refresh the page to update the
click count.

and games, game providers, guides about the sector, children’s

etc.
You can pick different grids to advertise on depending on your
product and activity. We commit to ensuring that all ads present
on the individual grids will be relevant to that grid.
If I buy an ad, can I still be enter a free draw?
Sorry that's not allowed. Advertisers are not eligible to enter
any draws.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secured
payment provider, PayPal. We also accept bank transfers. Please
get in touch should you wish to pay via bank transfer.
How quickly will my ad be online after I order?
We will activate your ad within 2 working days after receiving
confirmation of your payment. You can then change the image at any
time once the ad is live. Please note that this is subject to moderation
and we don’t allow any offensive material on the Website,
or irrelevant ads to the designated grids. See below for further
information.
Can I resell my pixels?
Sorry you can't. Re-selling of pixels is not permitted. Please
see the Advertising Terms & Conditions Clause 7 for more details.
What types of ads are not allowed?
Our emphasis is on quality advertisements throughout. That means
that the images on our Website should not be deemed offensive or
pornographic, and that they should be relevant to the grid they
are placed on. The same goes for the websites that the ad links
to – it mustn’t be pornographic or offensive and it
must be relevant to the product grid the ad is placed on. We won’t
allow websites that are not genuine (e.g. that only hold Google
AdSense links). If we have any issue with the image you wish to
upload or the content of the website it links to, we will get in
touch with you within 48 hours.
Can I move my ad from one grid to another?
Sorry no. Whilst you can change the image or link as long as it
remains relevant to a product grid (and is not offensive or inappropriate),
we will not move your ad from one product grid to another. If you
would like to have a new ad on a different grid, all you need to
do is get a free pixel block (if they are still available), or buy
a new ad!
How many free pixel blocks can I use?
For each grid, the maximum number is 4 pixel blocks in the free
section. If you reserve more than 4 pixel blocks in a grid, we will
get in touch to ask you to reduce the size of the ad. Once all the
free pixel blocks are used, there will be no further free blocks
available until we start a new product grid.
Will you add more product grids on this website?
We commit to maintaining only the current 5 product grids for the
first 3 years. That means that your ad will not become less visible
during the 3 years it is active because we have added new product
grids since. We think this is important to ensure that our commercial
proposition to you today remains the same for the full 3 year period.
I bought more than one ad but I can’t login
Please make sure you login to the Advertisers section, rather than
the Players login. Also, please note that each ad you create is
linked to a new account, for which you are sent a separate email
including your User ID and password. It is likely that you are using
the wrong User ID or password to check the ad you have in mind,
please check all the emails we sent you. Alternatively, just click
on the ‘Forgot password?’ link and follow the instructions
to allow us to send you your account details once again. Please
note, you’ll need your User ID to obtain your password. If
this doesn’t work, please get in touch on
and we’ll help you from there.
How do I make the most out of my ad?
There are a few things you can do beyond just buying an ad on the
website and hoping that people will naturally click your ad.
- PRODUCT GRID: pick your product grid with care, as players will
naturally visit the grids they are more interested in. The grid
your ad is on should relate to your product or activity - the
stronger the relationship, the better for you in terms of potential
traffic. Of course, if it makes sense for your website, you can
place your ad on more than one grid. You should also consider
how popular certain grids are versus others – are some filling
up faster than others? Is the Prize Fund in certain grids getting
close to the next trigger level for a cash prize - if so, perhaps
your ad could benefit from the momentum this creates?
- POSITIONING: While we offer free pixel blocks on a first come,
first served basis, they are less visible to visitors to the site
than pixel blocks on the rest of the grid. Premium pixel blocks,
while more expensive than Standard blocks, give you best visibility
and are the first ones that players will see and are likely to
click. The eye is naturally directed to the centre of the grid,
so we recommend using this space as long as it is available. Similarly,
the corners and the sides of the grids can benefit from allowing
ads not to be surrounded as much by other ads. Also, think about
what ads are already present in the area you want to pick, in
light of the image you want to use (more on this below). This
means considering the relative size of your ad versus the ads
that are already there, your product or activity in relation to
the ads that are already there (will yours stand out?), but also
how visible your image will be relative to those ads. You should
also think about what ads could appear next to yours AFTER you
have bought your pixel blocks, i.e. is there potential for a bigger
ad to appear, or are the pixel blocks available directly around
your ad of relatively small size?
- IMAGE: first of all, as we have made clear throughout the site,
we don’t accept offensive or inappropriate images, ads or
links on the website. We would appreciate if you could respect
this wish, as we will otherwise have to remove your ad. We think
that this is in your interest as an advertiser, and will avoid
any embarrassment. When it comes to your logo or image itself,
it is important to stand out as much as possible. It pays to have
a high quality image that looks good to the visitor’s eye,
to tempt them to click. Spend a bit of time on Photoshop to make
it look as good as possible! In particular, the better the image
resizes once it is loaded up, the better it will obviously look
on the grid, so we recommend working on an image that is close
to the size of the number of pixels you want to buy, so that you
know exactly how it will look, and it won’t stretch into
something that doesn’t look as good (e.g. if you are buying
a rectangle shape, not a square). Highly visible, coloured images
are often best, as well as those featuring easily recognisable
shapes (within the constraints of the size of the image). So play
around with contrast. Have a good look at the ads that are already
present on the grid, and try to put an image that is different
and is not too similar in colour to your neighbouring ads. Don’t
forget, you can change your image as many times as you want once
you have bought your ad, so you can experiment with different
images to see what generates the biggest impact with players!
- URL AND LINK TEXT: Pick your url carefully, pinpointing exactly
where you want visitors to land on your site. You may also want
to track visitors from our site by setting up a special url that
is redirected to another page, but will show in your traffic logs.
Pick a tag line, i.e. the title of your ad, with care, so that
the key words you highlight sell your ad as well as possible,
just as a slogan would do for any ad. Think about how Google and
other search engines analyse these and accordingly use keywords
in the tag line that correspond to your own. Also have a think
about how your tag line relates to the image of your ad and your
website. Don’t forget that you can login and change your
them as many times as you wish.
- LINK BACK TO US: Google and other search engines will value
the fact that a link points from our site to yours, which improves
your visibility. However you can go one step further and return
the favour by linking back to our site. By doing so you will also
derive some of the benefit of our site being more visible and
therefore more visited. Just go to the Link To Us section on
our site, where you can either use our banner, or simply link
to us, by copying the code we provide on that page.
- TELL YOUR FRIENDS: it goes without saying that the more you
spread the word about Pixel Draws to potential site visitors or
advertisers, the more your ad will potentially attract attention.
We would obviously be very grateful if you could tell your friends
about Pixel Draws.
- TELL US WHAT YOU THINK: we value your feedback and if there
is anything that we can do (within the realm of what is possible)
to help improve our service to you, let us know by getting in
touch.
